I'm trying to narrow the number of addresses unbound is listening to.
I have WAN, LAN, DMZ, IOT, GUEST and VPN interfaces and each one has a local-link address. Do I need unbound to listen to the local-link addresses as well? Who's using them?
The following is what I have now and everything seems to be OK.

        Hi,

@mircolino said in Should unbound listen to ipv6 local-link addresses?:

        Who's using them?

According to this info, there is some usage for this kind of IPv6 addresses, but I guess not 'unbound' related.

Still, the most easy way to set up things is :
        Network Interfaces : All
        Outgoing Network Interfaces : All.

edit : I actually wonder why they are present in both interface list boxes ....

Edit : and where are the logs ??

I doubt there'd be anything on link-local worth listening to. It's not normally used for data, other than with routers.

          I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...
