[Solved] ( 2.4.5) Can't delete an old Static DHCP lease
-
I've recently upgraded to 2.4.5 and noticed some old Static DHCP leases that needed removing (old equipment).
However, there's 1 entry that I just can't delete.
It's listed under Status/DHCP Leases as "ADSL Router":
But there's no entry under the DHCP Server:
(That's the only entry for that interface - and the ADSL Router doesn't appear under any of the other interfaces either)
I tried to delete the dhcpd.leases* files as per this forum post, but that didn't appear to remove the entry.
I've re-assigned the IP address to the new DSL Modem in case having the same IP address was causing it to be hidden, but that didn't bring the old entry to life either.
So, if it's not in the dhcpd.leases file(s), where is it - and (more importantly) how do I remove this?
Thanks

It must be in the configuration somewhere. Take a backup of config.xml and see if you can find it inside and tell where it is.
Worst case scenario you can edit the entry out of the backup and restore it.

Ah! Didn't think of resolving it that way...
Yes... there's a
<staticmap>
entry lurking in the config backup file on that interfaceI'll remove it and restore just the "DHCP Server" section this evening when everyone's off the network.
Thanks Jim!

So your saying the delete button, the little trashcan icon doesn't work? Does it spit an error at you? Or just doesn't delete after it says it did?
-
There's no entry at all to show the trashcan...
See the 2nd picture just shows the new device (which does have the trashcan)... but the old device isn't even listed
-
Oh I saw the IP for 77.1, didn't notice the mac address were different - my bad for not catching that... Thanks..
-
Yeah, sorry... I could've probably made the screenshots a little more clear... all these MAC addresses and IP addresses...

Just to confirm that editing the config file and restoring the DHCP Server section resolved this.
Thanks!
