pfsense installation with x86 uefi
-
Hello All
I have an old tv box Minix Neo z64-w (windows 10 based) and I wish to install pfsense 2.4.5 on it.
The thing is that this tv box has 32bit uefi boot support and pfsense 2.4.5 supports 64bit uefi boot as I understand.
Is there any way to make this thing work? Is it possible to "force" pfsense boot on 32bit uefi?
Thanks in advance! -

pfsense boots with “bootia64.efi”, minix tv box has a 32 bit uefi bios so it supports only “bootia32.efi”.
I wonder if there is a way to boot pfsense with bootia32.efi so it will be supported by minix. -
It looks as though you can flash that with the Neo z64-a bios from the Android version of that same hardware. And since that is 64bit UEFI it will probably 'just work'.

@stephenw10
So you say if I will install the android firmware pfsense will work? -
Just the BIOS not the full android firmware. That's what it looks like from what I'm reading, yes.
Of course I've never tested it. And flashing the BIOS is potentially dangerous etc.
