      Hi,
I'm monitoring my pfsense using Zabbix, I need to know how can I change the name on pfsense from re0 to something meaningful like WAN or LAN?

re0 is the name assigned by the driver. If you go to Interfaces/Assignments that will show you the description assigned. Technically if you go to Interfaces/LAN you'll see you can change the Description there, but I'd suggest not as that might be confusing.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

Zabbix is just pulling the hardware interface name. You're going to have to look at aliasing it on the Zabbix side. How to do that would be a question for a Zabbix forum, not a pfSense one.
