Hey guys, running Pi-hole in a VM on Unraid. Just wondering if there is a way to use it with PFsense but have DNS and internet still work if say the Pi-hole crashes, etc. I thought i had it working before but now it doesn't seem to be, but i may have been wrong. I have the DHCP server pointed to 192.168.10.125 (Pi-hole) for DNS and have the Pi-hole forwarding to 192.168.10.1 (PFsense). I have PFsense setup for resolving. Any help would be much appreciated.

        Hi,
If you put your pfsense IP as DNS server 2 in your DHCP server, it should work.

        Netgate SG-3100 23.09.1

        1 x NUC8i7BEH 32Go - ESXI 8 (Pfsense + many VM)

I may be wrong but i thought DNS doesn't work in order so it could ask either one depending on what the client decided to ask.
