      I upgraded from 2.4.4p2 to 2.4.5 two days ago. Since then, I am having network interruptions hickkups (to WAN) on machines in all connected VLANs almost precisely every 15 minutes for about 1 second. I just noticed that nicely in a video conference, with someone else running an online game in the same room. Connectivity interruptions (both apps froze/went silent for about a second, but did not entirely lose connection) happened on both machines simultaneously.

      I then monitored what is happening on pfSense 15 minutes later with top. When the interruption happened, top very briefly showed pfctl as the top task, while otherwise it's not. The machine is running with 99.9% idle CPU and 6GB of free RAM outside of these spikes.

      If you see any chance to debug this and would have suggestions for things I should try, please let me know.

      pfSense+ 24.03 on Netgate SG-2100 (replaced SG-2440)
      pfSense 2.6 on Super Micro 5018D-FN4T (retired)

        @highc

        Uncheck block bogons on every interface and see if it continues.
