ISP router to pfsense settings
-
Hello,
I found the su password of my ISP router and got all the necessary settings. I tried to copy over most of what I could see but I still can't get the data LED to switch on for my Fiber-to-RJ45 converter. I suspect the NAT settings (Yellow circle) are causing the issue because I don't know how to configure them.

Sorry for the large bright image.

I extracted this text from the ISP router backup file maybe it can help.

The ISP provides dynamic IP allocation through ONT authentication.

Hi,
What about this one : tell us who is your ISP. Tell what type of hardware you use - type of setup.
Without any of this, we'll be needing a crystal ball, the one that actually works .... mine is broken. Some one that uses pfSense, with the equipment you use, and the ISP you, will share his knowledge.
Is this you want : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WWO_4p4UP0 ? -
ISP: Batelco
ISP Router: Huawei HG8245Q
Hardware: Fiber Optic
Type of setup: not sure what is needed. Isn't the info provided in the 1st and 2nd post nough? They work on the ISP's router.
My hardware: mini-pc (Intel i5-6300U, 4GB RAM, 32GB SSD) + 6COM Fiber-to-RJ45 converter.Thank you for the video. I already saw it before posting here but it did not contain the necessary instructions for me to get the authentication from my ISP.

I thought a fiber-to-RJ45 converter will work. I didn't know that the ISP router contains a modem, which is required for ONT login. I am ashamed.
