-
Hi
Status / System Logs / DHCP
Continuous Creating resolv.conf RENEW notification comes in the list.
What can be done to hide the notification? -
Hi,
Can you show what you see ?
-
i just want to record dhcp rent
i don't need other information
I don't want it to hold warehouse space
I do not know how to do it? -

pfSense logs are fixed size, they can't grow over time.
There is no possibility to control individual process logging settings, exception : the resolver and OpenVPN server/client
-
ok.
Creating resolv.conf RENEW
what is the reason for this warning in the log list, if. I do not have the right to choose. If I eliminate the reason for the registration I do not want?

why i see this -
The dhclient is running on your pfSense WAN interface, asking an upstream router for a WAN IP.
The upstream router is using it's DHCP server to supply you this WAN IP.
The upstream router is handing out leases with a duration of 10 minutes. Half way, 5 minutes, the dhcp client running on pfSense starts what it is instructed to do : it asks for a 'RENEW'.To change this, you have several options :
Change the settings of the upstream router : inform it's DHCP server that it should hand out leases with a longer duration.
Or set up a static WAN/mask/gateway IP on pfSense (no more DHCP client usage). -
grateful to you. for your help
