      Hello,

      i have a virtualised pfSense which has the version 2.4.5.
      The problem is that the dashboard says it is on the latest version but actually the latest version is 2.4.5-RELEASE-p1

      How to troubleshoot?

        https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/install/upgrade-troubleshooting.html

        pkg-static clean -ay; pkg-static install -fy pkg pfSense-repo pfSense-upgrade

            the post here https://forum.netgate.com/topic/119349/pfsense-fatal-error-unable-to-create-lock-file-bad-file-descriptor-9/2
            solved it

            basically a clean disk

            Reboot
            Select single user mode from the logo menu
            let it boot
            Press return for /bin/sh
            /sbin/fsck -y /
            If that fsck actually runs, run it about four more times.

            now that i see the new version, i started the upgrade...hope i don't have other issues
