Im going to take a SWAG and say that this is the reason that some of the promised new cable modems Ive been waiting to play with haven't hit the marketplace yet..

Any make a suricata/snort alert for this yet?
I've googled but found nothing except a cisco article stating to use the rule on talos but its not there.

yes and we do not know when the will do that ( will hit the maketplace) im also interested in buying one of such modems...but we have to wait when they are on sale
