      Hi all.
Ive got 2 XG7100s which I want to connect to a couple of Cisco 2960x switches.
      The switches SFPs are 1gb.
I have bought these spesific sfps for use in both my XG7100 and cisco switches:
      https://www.fs.com/uk/products/11774.html
I am using OM4 patch cable.
When the module is inserted in the XG7100 and patched correctly directly to the switch, the interface shows as up, with the speed set to

      1000baseSX <full-duplex,rxpause,txpause>

However the switch doesnt show as connected at all.
      The Switch shows up as

      Status down
      Protocol down

I'm confident that the cable and sfps are, in themselves, ok, as when I connect the two switches together using the sfps and patches, they work fine, with each sfp port coming up no problems.
      Any advice would be appreciated.
      Cheers!

Try running ifconfig ix0 -vvvm and the same for ix1.
Make sure it is 'seeing' the modules correctly and the incoming optical signal power.

Some devices require setting 1G fixed link speed to get link in a 10G port.
