Basically once every two weeks or so my connection throws a wibble and I have to reboot the cable modem.

The problem is pfsense doesn't gracefully handle this and doesn't pick up a public ip when the cable modem is back. The ip it does pick up is in the 192.168.100.x range...

My old "router" would handle this gracefully and pick up an ip again after the cable modem came back so pfsense has got to have the ability to do similar.

pfsense version: 2.4.5-RELEASE-p1 running the amd64 version on some generic hardware I had lying about.
