      is it possible to set up both wan interfaces connected to their modems via ppoe - for load balancing?

        In 1.2.x you can have PPPoE only on the primary WAN.
        This should change with 2.0

        Can you set the modem on your OPTx (WAN2) into routing mode?
        So to the pfSense it appears as if you have a normal router in front.
        (Also the PPPoE authentication would happen on the modem).
