Ok I tried the following fresh install of V2.4.5 brought up the GUI installed shellcmd, made directory /root/bin, copied pfatt.sh to /root/bin edited pfatt.sh to reflect igb0 igb1, inserted mac address of my internet providers gateway. from console ran chmod +x /root/bin/pfatt.sh then created early shell command. last I edited my pfsense gateway 192.168.1.1 to spoof the nac of the gateway saved changes and rebooted. and butkas (could not find NG_etf) can't find it even if I try to download from respsitory.

@torred ok got it working but still confused about step 7
(pfSense does not need to manage $RG_IF or $ONT_IF. I would advise not enabling those interfaces in pfSense as it can cause problems with the netgraph.) what exactly is needed here...if I disable igb0 and igb1 would that not essentially turn off those gateways

I believe he is referring to assigning those NICs as interfaces in pfSense (e.g. through the Web Gui -> Interfaces -> Assignments). You should only have the WAN (ngeth0) a LAN (that is not the one the RG is hanging off of), and any other OPT interfaces you may have (that are not igb0/igb1).
