Sprint MiFi 8000 USB WAN

I am trying to use a Srpint MiFi 8000 as USB WAN. The problem is that the device is recognized for maybe 30 seconds or so and then disconnects. I can see it come up in the GUI Interfaces sections as ue0 and then assign it as the WAN, but it drops off. I can see it on the CLI, too. In the screenshot, the process starts out with the device being plugged in and takes several seconds to finish. I have had this happen on both pfSense and OPNSense. This doesn't happen on IPFire, but I would rather use pfSense. Thanks in advance.
