Add a quad WAN router to my pfSense
-
Hello there,
I'd like to use a quad WAN router (SRX5308) with my SG-3100. The SRX5308 will only be used to connect the 4 WAN with load balancing and thus provide internet. The SG-3100 is mainly used as a proxy (Squid and SquidGuard).
I'm not sure if this will work well and how to do it, I've never connected two routers and didn't find much information.
Thanks!

You can connect the SG-3100 WAN to SRX5308 LAN and thats pretty much it. But make sure you don't have overlapping subnets and connect ALL of your client behind the SG-3100 (LAN).
Why do you want to keep the Netgear anyway? There are 6 ports on the SG-3100 and pfSense can do load balancing just fine.-Rico

Thank you very much. It works.
The SG-3100 can only do 2 WANs.

Nope, you could have 5 WANs and 1 LAN with the SG-3100 if you want.
