I run my network on 10.10.10.X subnet. However while running nmap, I found that I get a ping response back from 192.168.1.1. Curious as to what device it could be, I put it in the browser and the pfSense login page showed up.

Why is pfSense responding to 192.168.1.X subnet, when I don't have any interfaces or vlans running on that subnet.

how would i shut it down?

So you have obviously assigned 192.168.1.1 to an interface. Mine doesn't response to that IP.
Check Status > Interfaces and Firewall > Virtual IPs.

I don't see any Status> Interfaces and Firewall option. But I did look at Status>Interfaces and it did not show me any 192.168.1.X subnet on any interfaces.

Then I checked my VPN server setup and sure enough it is set up for that subnet. It's just been so long since I have left the house due to the pandemic, that I have not used that VPN server in quite some time. :)

            These are two different things:
            Status > Interfaces
            and
            Firewall > Virtual IPs

Though VPN servers are virtual IPs as well, which aren't displayed there.
