      I looked at this Wi-Fi card, but I don't know what chipset it has. Maybe someone has already tried it? Is it worth buying? https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/pci-adapter/tl-wn881nd/#overview

          @humaxoid said in TP-link TL-WN881ND is supports?:

          Out of curiosity - what exactly would you do with such a card even if it did work.. N300, surely your not going to try and use it to turn pfsense into an AP?

          Do you want to use as some sort of backup wan link in pfsense?

            This is the pfsense for home use. I want to use an access point on it.

              Then take the money you would spend on such a shit card and put it towards some AP or wifi router to use as AP..

              That card is what like 20$ - you could get a dual band AC wifi router to use for like 40$

              Here this AC1200 dual band
              https://www.amazon.com/Tenda-Wireless-Internet-MU-MIMO-AC6/dp/B06X1CHFJ5

              Is with a coupon currently $30, that would be way better as AP, and has 4 10/100 ports you could use as well as switch.. Would be money better spent then trying to use some little shit wifi card as your AP.. The 10/100 interfaces make their marketing even more BS ;) But the 95Mbps real world limit wireless to wired is way more than you would ever see with some 2.4 N300 card..

              Here is another that even as openwrt installed on it for 32
              https://smile.amazon.com/Cudy-1200Mbps-Customized-pre-Installed-WR1300/dp/B085RLFRH3

              And has gig ports.

                Yeah pretty much don't get that. 😉

                If you must use a wifi card in pfSense, because reasons, then choose an older Atheros based card. Something based on the AR9380 is about as good as you can get, N450, until athp is working well.
