      Hi,

I install pfsense ver 1.2.2 and has LAN and OPT1. I already set domain in System > General Setup. And i also add some server hostname and ip on Service > DNS forwarder. But when i use eg: tomi.tipu-htp, it cannot find the server. Any idea why?

      Thank you.

Is the client you're testing on actually using the pfSense as DNS server?
Can you show a screenshot of your custom entries on the DNS forwarder page?

I just setup the exact same thing you entered.

            Host: cvs
            Domain: htp-mohe
            IP: 10.10.10.10

            If i try to
            ping cvs.htp-mohe
            it correctly resolves to 10.10.10.10

            How are you testing?

I test using tracert. But it loop in LAN interface. I think wrong rule on firewall. How do you set your firewall? I kind new with pfsense.

Hmmm. I think a reflective trace wont work.
But did you actually check if the request resolves correctly?
As long as you get the correct IP back it is working.

I testing using browser also. When i fill url with kerapu.htp-mohe, it cannot resolve the ip. So, i cannot view page from server. Please assist me.
