I have a site-to-site openvpn tunnel between 2 pfsense boxes. On each side of the tunnel exists a freenas server. At site A the freenas server replicates (pushes) data nightly to the freenas server at site B. I'm looking for a way to limit the upload bandwidth consumed by the site A freenas box that is doing the pushing. I already have some traffic shaping and rules setup with CodelQ to help with bufferbloat. I've tried adding additional limiters applied them specifically to the site A freenas IP and using firewall rules but I must be missing something as the site A freenas box still consumes 100% of the upload bandwidth. Just looking for any points on what I might be missing.
