I’ve enabled syslog for DNS Resolver (unbound) but I don’t see any syslog messages about the DNS requests for A-Records, PTR-Records etc. DNS is working fine, but I don’t see anything DN-resolution-request related logged locally in pfSense or in the remote syslog server that I am sending logs to from pfSense. I’m running the latest stable release.

I do see syslog messages from PfSense in the remote syslog server but nothing from the DNS daemon.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Put this in custom settings and see if you get what you are looking for in the log.

        server: log-queries: yes
