    Hi,

I've upgraded my pfsense from 2.4.4p3 to 2.4.5_1 and I'm receiving the below error.

I had a smiliar Pfsense running the same version and upgraded to the latest without any issues.

After I got the PHP error, I've reverted as I had a snapshot in place and tried removing NRPE package but still same issue. I've also tried upgrading the packages before the update but still no luck.

Today I've installed a new pfsense running 2.4.5_1 and restored the config but still got the message as soon as it booted up.

Anyone else experienced the same issue or maybe can offer some help?

    Thanks

@kiokoman No stunnel is not installed.

These are the packages that I currently have installed: frr, net-snmp, nrpe, open-vm-tools, openvpn-client-export

@waynec said in Upgrade from 2.4.4p3 to 2.4.5_1 PHP ERROR:

upgrading the packages before the update

Don't do that, that could pull in dependencies that don't exist on 2.4.4. Best practice is to uninstall packages, upgrade, and reinstall packages. For instance I'm pretty sure I've seen posts about people who upgrade a package and find out they upgraded PHP versions, so lots of things are broken.
            https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/install/upgrade-guide-prepare.html#packages

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
