ping failed

I have long established an ipsec vpn tunnel but from this morning it stopped working.
Ping between remote hosts fails despite the pfsense firewall allowing icmp traffic while on the two windows hosts the firewall is disabled.
There is no trace of denied traffic in the logs.
what can i check?
I am attaching the status of the two sides of the VPN channel
