      Good morning :)

      How to change the Welcome msg and Pfsense console menu txt? I want to change this:

      ***** Welcome to pfSense 1.2.2-pfSense on freebsd *****

      WAN*                     -> vr0 -> 192.168.2.0
       LAN*                     -> rl0 -> 192.168.2.1
       OPT1(OPT1)*              -> dc0 -> 10.0.0.1

      **pfSense console setup

      1. Logout (SSH only)
      2. Assign Interfaces
      3. Set LAN IP address
      4. Reset webConfigurator password
      5. Reset to factory defaults
      6. Reboot system
      7. Halt system
      8. Ping host
      9. Shell
      10. PFtop
      11. Filter Logs
      12. Restart webConfigurator
      13. pfSense PHP shell
      14. Upgrade from console
      15. Disable Secure Shell (sshd)

      Enter an option:

      Also, how to hide the menu (Numbers from 1 to 14)? - I just want to hide the menu and just create a simple menu. So that no one will press anything (for security). Thanks

        Rather than do all that, which would require you to roll a new version of pfSense and make a bunch of unsupported custom changes, a simpler solution exists.  In the webGUI, navigate to System -> Advanced and check the box which says "Password protect the console menu".  Reboot the firewall and you're good to go.
