      Hi,
I have a Netgate SG-5100. I fear that some day the Netgate will stop working, what do you recommend for some redunancy. A second SG-5100?

      Regards,
      Gunther

That would be the best choice. You can import the config directly and know that it will work without issues.
With identical hardware you could also set them up as an HA pair if you need to avoid any downtime at all.

can you guide me to HA? You mean a CARP solution?

Yes, exactly. If you have two identical devices you have that option.
