I cannot find where I convert one of the LAN ports to a WAN port on the 2100. Their website says you can.

I am using on e WAN and one LAN port and just want to use one of the LAN ports

Network Interfaces One 1 Gigabit Ethernet WAN port (RJ45 / SFP Combo)
Four 1 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports (Marvel 88E6141 switch with 2.5 Gb uplink)
LAN ports can be repurposed for additional WAN ports

Do I need to take LAN1 and use it in LAN2 for internal and reuse LAN1 for WAn but then still cannot find where to tell it to use LAN1 as a WAN

The LAN ports are on a switch but you can use VLANs on the switch ports: https://www.netgate.com/resources/videos/configuring-netgate-appliance-integrated-switches-on-pfsense-244.html

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

so this tells me how to change a LAN port to a WAN port like the netgate website says I can do?
All I want is a redundant WAN port for a second cable modem. that's why I got the 2100 because it says on their website you can change the LAN to WANs but would be nice if it was written for a noice to configure.

The 2100 is not a novice device... It is a full featured firewall/router.. Understanding the basics of networking kind of requirement for anyone wanting to use such a device. ;)

You can put any of the switches ports on any vlan you want, other than the default.. The link given goes over how to configure the switch ports.. Once you create a gateway on an interface it becomes a wan port.

Here this shows you how to create a discrete port from one of the switch ports
