...between 40mb/s and 0kb/s, mostly 0. So I have no clue what's going on.
I know it has to be between my main switch and the pfSense box. I can accesses the switch, but not pfSense when it's dead. I put a new CAT 5e cable in, same thing.

Check the logs, what's happening when it stops responding?

2.4.5-RELEASE (amd64)
built on Tue Mar 24 15:25:50 EDT 2020
FreeBSD 11.3-STABLEI guess I should update? I thought I saw something about on of the releases crashing?
-
Yup, there is a known performance bug in 2.4.5 that could present exactly like that.
It's fixed in 2.4.5p1. Upgrade!

Sorry, I'm not seeing how to make it show the photo

It could be that. You should upgrade anyway because even if you've found some new issue we can only test it against 2.4.5p1.

@stephenw10 I must be missing something, what's the "p" for? I found 2.4.5.1, but no "p" in the ver number
-
It's generally understood to mean 'patch'.

Ok, I updated. It was still doing it after install, so I rebooted. Now I have nothing, I'm tethered to my phone to get here.
Still on my first cup of coffee. I'll be back in a few hours.
I've not hooked a screen to it, but Email says "20:30:40 Bootup complete"

P.S. in case I did not imply it, Thank you for helping me. If you're ever in Illinois, I'll buy you a $drink
