      Hi,
I changed the static ip adress of two servers (and the entire LAN-subnet) and pfSense still resolves the hostnames to the old static ip address. Everything works fine, except the wrong DNS revolving.

When I set a ping from a windows client with the hostname, it resolves to the old ip. I can ping and connect via the new ip address directly to the two machines, but it won't work with the hostname. All the other clients (via DHCP) work perfectly fine.

I flushed the DNS cache on the windows machine, but the same result. The nslookup in pfSense puts out also the old ip. I deleted the two old ip address entries in the hosts file in pfSense, but no success.

I restarted DNS resolver and pfSense completly. No success.

ping/nslookup skynet shows old ip address (192.168.1.10), but should show 10.8.15.10
ping/nslookup t-888 shows old ip address (192.168.1.11), but should show 10.8.15.11

      Thanks in advance.

If its showing you the old address, then you have a host override for that. Or your registering your static reservations and didn't remove/update the reservation.

Argh... It was the host override. I totally overlooked it.
Thank you for the fast help. :)
