Netgate 3100 loses Internet connection

I have a Netgate sg-3100 which I bought two years ago, I'm starting having problem that it's losing Internetconnection. When I search the problem with windows it tells me to restart the modem and it does solve the problem. This has happened two times the last week and it's getting annoying, does anyone know what could cause this problem?

How exactly are you losing upstream connectivity?
I assume you can still connect to the pfSense webgui when this happens?
Can the firewall itself still connect? Can you ping and external host from Diag > Ping? For example: google.com or 8.8.8.8?
Does the WAN gateway still show as UP?
