      Have any of y'all attempted to use the proxy settings in System > Advanced > Miscellaneous?

      I have ours configured, but when I attempt to check for updates, get the list of packages, or download threat signatures, it doesn't seem to respect the proxy configuration. Everything just times out.

        Check the state table, is it actually connecting to the proxy?

        Try running pkg -d update at the CLI, what error do you see?

        You're running 2.4.5p1 I assume?

          @stephenw10 Thanks!

          I found the issue. It's the cert on the proxy. Thanks for showing me the CLI command to check for updates.

            That & the fact that pkg.pfsense.org doesn't seem to exist:

              It's an SRV record:

              Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
              When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, and device or disk speed.
