I am trying to connect to my media servers web page,.. and failing.
I have tried connecting to the media servers web page,.. accessed at IPv4-address:6544,.. from the docs I know it also uses ports 6543 and 3306, and I have also extended the range to cover port 80,... but as yet I do not know exactly which ports to go after.
So rule on destination subnet,.. I have tries any, on source Subnet, and specific IP addresses,.. with a multitude of ranges to cover the media servers requirement,.. so far without success.
and I have other rules that allow any 2 any protocols, on local subnets.

I can ping in each direction,.. but as I am aware this is not the full story,.. I have checked the pfsense logs,.. but nothing jumps out at me,.. I assume there are tools which would tell me which port the host is trying to talk on,. and being rejected,..
Does anyone out there know the error of my ways...
    Many Tx

      Where are you connecting between?

A client/mythtv front end and the sevver/mythtv backend I assume?

Are they in the same subnet?

If not what interfaces are they on?

What firewall rules do you have on the client side interface?

      Steve

Tx for replying Steven,.. I have a combined FE/BE.. on a 192.168.3.x network,... and I am trying to connect in from a 192.168.6.x network client,..
I'm currently working on an apache2 issue, (which I believe maybe the issue) with sites available/enabled,... but I will need to do some digging before I get to a solution for my system
I will update as I find more out...
