Hello, I'm restoring my VM router pfSense, and the backup is asking for the pfSense-CE-2.4.4-RELEASE-p1-amd64.iso.

I searched a few old links, but all links take me to the front page with the latest pfSense-2.4.5.
I downloaded pfSense-2.4.5, but the restore shows error: volume 'local:iso/pfSense-CE-2.4.4-RELEASE-p1-amd64.iso' does not exist.

Would be recommended to upgrade to the recent version.

However, you may also find old ones on certain mirrors if you search the web. For instances here: https://repo.ialab.dsu.edu/pfsense/

But make sure the checksum match.
          SHA256 (pfSense-CE-2.4.4-RELEASE-p1-amd64.iso.gz) = a5ca11eab11e2cddc33a11ded4df69eab7ae48399004588562f5f305ae3c0246

            Hi,

            Restore ?
What about firing up a new VM with a fresh copy of the latest and greatest, 2.4.5-p1 boot it up with a minimal manual config and then import the config file, reboot and done.

That's what I did when I was using build in Windows 10 "hyper-v " and a pfSense ISO. That worked ....

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

Does your restore really know what's inside the ISO ?

Can't you just be "nasty" , and rename the 2.4.5.iso to 2.4.4.iso, and do the restore ?

If you find my answer useful - Please give the post a šŸ‘ - "thumbs up"
