Error in syslog when creating gateway groups on 2.5.0, "an error occurred while trying to find the interface"

    Good morning. When I add a gateway group of any kind I receive this error in syslog:

    /rc.filter_configure_sync: An error occurred while trying to find the interface got 1.2.3.4 . The rule has not been added.
    

    I'm trying to set up multi-wan load balancing but unable to do so. Subsequent policy based rules that specify the gateway group as the default gateway do not get added.

    Not sure how to begin debugging or diagnosing? Any help appreciated.

      @ensnare I know this is an old thread but I found it via search, so thought I'd update for anyone else that lands when looking for this message. There's a workaround here that might help:
