      Hi,

      I got netgate sg-2440 with pfsense installed and the package manager is missing (get an error when navigating to the page)

      any way to reinstall it, auto fix pfsense installation from the UI without going through the console and install image ?

      I tried to update to latest version and even to go via setup again, nothing helped (like the image it was used missing the package)

      thanks

        What version of pfsense is installed? If its OLD, then no the package manager wouldn't work.

          @johnpoz
          its 2.3.4 (strange I thought I update to the latest)
          anyway now the check for updates does not work, it say unable to check for updates while I Can access the internet from a machine that connected to the router
          anyway to fix that first ?

          to update manually ?

            Yes you need to update 2.3.x has not been supported in years..

            2.3.4 came out in may of 2017..

            Network security is serious business so let’s get right to the point: pfSense® software version 2.3.x is nearing End Of Life, October 31, 2018.

              @johnpoz I know, and I think I updated , but somehow it reverted (Im sure I saw that it was update after I run an update)
              but after playing with it for a, restart, setup from scratch I see that its back to 2.3.4) and the update does not work for me
              how can I update manually ? (download latest and update from file) ?

              thanks

                Are you on a netgate appliance - or some other hardware?

                If a appliance I would open a ticket to get a factory image for your hardware, if your on something else just download the install media and do a clean install.
