My brand new SG-2100 came today. After careful consideration, I decided it might be best to configure the 4 ports as discrete ports. So, I created a 192.168.10.1, 192.168.20.1, 192.168.30.1 and 192.168.40.1. (LAN1-LAN4 respectively). That didn't take but a few minutes given the excellent documentation. The flexibility is mind boggling. That said, I still have an IP of 192.168.1.1 associated with the 'LAN' (2.5Ghz uplink) and a DHCP server is enabled. I assume I can disable the DHCP server on 'LAN' and probably remove IPV4 altogether without issue.

      Since I'm new to netgate/pfsense, I thought I'd ask.

This is a slick little device.

Yes, to confirm, you can remove that. You don't even have tp have the uplink interface assigned if you have all 4 LAN ports as VLANs.

Thanks. I took that one last step and unassigned the interface.

          I love this gateway!
