![alt text](image url) Having had trouble with attacks and complete reflashing of my device I recently began configuring it for use. On startup I found an entry that has me concerned but have no idea if it could be part of a mistake I may have made. My system general log shows a command ordering the deletion of my self listed DNS server which is from Clean Browsing Security 185.228.168.9 shown below:
php-cgi: rc.bootup: The command '/sbin/route delete -host 185.228.168.9' returned exit code '1', the output was 'route: route has not been found delete host 185.228.168.9 fib 0: not in table'
Jun 11 01:56:49 kernel: pflog0: promiscuous mode enabled

Is this a legit function ?
      Thanks

It's very likely simply because the WAN was not up at the point so the route had not yet been added. When the WAN comes up pfSense sees the IP change (from no IP) so it removes all static routes that would have been using it and adds them to the new IP.

pflog in promiscuous mode is exepcted.
