    email notification not working when
    Secure SMTP Connection checked
    when mailserver wants Port 587 & Connectiontype STARTTLS

    (error message: Error: Failed to connect to ssl://mailserver.tld:587 [SMTP: Failed to connect socket: fsockopen(): unable to connect to ssl://mailserver.tld:587 (Unknown error) (code: -1, response: )

    working when checked life this

    any hints / tips n tricks
    my guess notification still safe even with this setting, and workin.

      As it is stated next to the check mark box, Secure SMTP Connection enables SMTP over SSL/TLS.

      So if your server supports STARTTLS you must not enbable Secure SMTP Connection, but "Validate SSL/TLS". These are different protocols.
