netgate sg1100 unresponsive

A few minutes ago I went to log into the web UI. Here's wha thappened:
- The login page loaded
- I (unintentionally) entered and submitted the wrong username and password and pressed enter
- login page told me the password was incorrect
- I entered the correct username and password and pressed enter
- Nothing... Just spinning icon in browser tab
- closed the tab
- returned to web UI in new tab
- Nothing... more tab spinning
- Tried SSH
- Nope:
kex_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
- Tried Web UI again and waited
- 1-2 minutes later: 504 Gateway Time-out
Throughout all of this I can still connect through it to the internet. So it's kinda working?
I guess I can go power cycle the thing, but what do I look for when it comes back up?

Try the USB Console Cable to look what's going on.

You may have been locked out by sshguard in which case just wait until your IP is unblocked again.
Otherwise try connecting to the serial console and restarting php and the webconfigurator, console menu options 16 then 11.
