        huh? Maybe I am not awake yet - what exactly are you looking to change?

        This?

        You want to show that from ssh/cli connection? I am not aware that you can change it though?

        It shows it when you login via the console menu

        From my understanding this is generated, some sort of hash of the system. Possible its mac related? I don't think you can or should go changing that willy nilly.. Why would you want to change it?

          @johnpoz

          damnn last night was toooo long.

          we were discussin when u set up many boxes with a single master
          config.xml
          do these new devices all have the same deviceID or a different one

          gonna test .. and come back but if u can change it it will not be much use as a unique deviceID
          I guess ;)

            Indeed it's hashed from hardware values, it's intended to be unique and persistent as an identifier.
            If you can could just change it it wouldn't be much use.

              They will all be different, it's not stored in the config.
