Hi not sure if this is the correct place for this but anyway.

Will UPNP still be a feature of pfsense plus going forward or will things be trimmed out of pfsense plus as time goes on?

As the FAQ around packages and features makes me think. To better meet the needs of secure networking in the future maybe UPNP isn't the highest priority feature in regards to security.

It will be included as it is in Factory currently. I know of no plans to remove it.

It is disabled by default so it's not really a big security problem.

        What are your thoughts here?

@stephenw10 I just wanted to know if their was plans to remove it. Thanks.

From a security standpoint I was concerned it may be removed. Don't know what my thoughts about it have to do with anything though.

While I don't see UPnP as an enterprise feature ;)

Since + will be free for home/lab use.. In that sort of network I can still seeing people using it. I wish the protocol in its present form should just die to be honest.

It was and is a horrible solution..
