How to edit the Post title after it is Solved?
-
I have posted a topic today and thank for viragomann effort the question is solved.
However, I cannot edit the Post as it is after an hour it created. Is that any solution to edit the Post title with [Solved] at the front?

@testcb00 I'm certain you just edit your original post and add the Tags and change the title.
Like so:
https://forum.netgate.com/topic/160398/solved-pia-openvpn-port-forward?_=1612336363944This my post from 3 days ago. Just edited it to move the [solved] to the end and back to the front.

@apsis-im Umm...My error is:
Error
You are only allowed to edit posts for 3600 second(s) after posting
The original post (1st) is not edited and the last reply I made was on 05:41 AM
Kind remind, I didn't make any editing in this post.

After 5 hours I still not able to edit the post......
Seems this behaviour is a bug? or my account Authority Level is not enough for me to edit? -
I marked it solver for you. There is no formal thread 'Solved' process though.

@stephenw10
Thank you, stephenw10, but I have a question.Why can't I edit my post?
As I might ask questions in future, probably I will get answered. If the problem still exist, then I will need to make a new "How to edit the Post title after it is Solved?" for each Post.

There is no way to edit a first post after 1h as you have seen. We get enough edit spam as it is unfortunately.
There is no formal 'mark posts solved' on this forum so it's not really a problem.Steve

Understand, thank for the explanation.

@stephenw10 I edited the post I linked several times did it fall through the cracks or something?
-
That edit timer might be different depending on your rep points.. You have 5, which seems to be a magic number for many things. Like editing your signature, etc.
-
Yup, digging into the settings it looks like that's a 'New user restriction' for those with less than 3 rep points.

Is there setting for posting urls, make that like 10 or something to help stop spammers from posting links?
-
There doesn't appear to be unfortunately.

I don't think we need it now to be honest - we keep a pretty good handle on the spam.. But is there a way to force 1 post wonders first posts to be mod/admin allowed? I have seen forums like this before. Where your first post has to be approved before its posted.
