SSD smartctl warning.

Hi
Just logged onto pfSense and decided to check the SMART health status of my SSD.It returns
=== START OF READ SMART DATA SECTION === SMART overall-health self-assessment test result: FAILED! Drive failure expected in less than 24 hours. SAVE ALL DATA. Failed Attributes: ID# ATTRIBUTE_NAME FLAG VALUE WORST THRESH TYPE UPDATED WHEN_FAILED RAW_VALUE 177 Wear_Leveling_Count 0x0013 001 001 010 Pre-fail Always FAILING_NOW 4731
The drive is a SAMSUNG SSD PM830 mSATA 32GB
I'm not sure how long this warning has been there, but I'm planning to replace the SSD.
I just wanted to check that there shouldn't be an issue with using an SSD and if this is possibly a false alarm.
Any advise on using an SSD ?
Thanks -
@zmaliz The good news is usually SSDs tend to fail to read only, so you have a good chance of getting stuff off there if you really needed to, but as you only need the config file it's not a huge drama.
All hard drives fail, I've had spinning rust ones fail, I've SSDs fail. Prices of SSDs at the sizes needed for pfSense are so cheap that it's not worth worrying about failures really. It's even worth keeping a spare one on hand.

@zmaliz just backup your config and get a replacement asap.

Thanks for the advise.
All backed up and new mSATA SSD arriving tomorrow. If it does die before I get a chance to swap it, I've got a spare server configured with the backup load ready just incase.
Thanks

Morning.
I've swapped the mSATA for a new one, reinstalled pfSense and restored my current config. All done and seems to be working well :)
Thanks
