      Hello !

it is possible that two client workstations can connect to my vpn with the same ip address ?
How can I do it ?

also as soon as I disconnect a client, the other client can connect but the disconnected client can't connect anymore, how can I solve this problem ?

You don't want to do that. That will create problems. It's like having 2 persons with the same phone number.

You solved the problem and have proven that what has been said above is true.
Did you expect another result ?

        Yes, of course.
OpenVPN admins are like humans. They can do strange (stupid ?) things. Like assigning a 'static' IP to serveral VPN client configurations instead of selecting a simpler DHCP solution. Or choosing a different IP for each VPN client config.
Or : also possible : a OpenVPN client - the person - uses the same OpenVPN-client config on two devices and this config is assigned an IP : the two client will have identical IP's => that's bad.
Tell the 'client' that 'one OpenVPN config' should be used on 'one device only - no exceptions'. If the clients continues to misbehave, throw him off the network.

Edit : and where are the logs ??

@gertjan thank you for your answer =)

Sorry I misspoke about ip, what I really meant was that if my ''client number 1'' takes an ip, I disconnect ''client number 1'' and I connect ''client number 2'', is it possible that he takes the same ip of ''client number 1" ?

I'm sorry if my explanation doesn't seem clear.

What duplicate IP are you talking about..

For example if you have 2 clients behind a nat router at say site A, and they both want to connect to the vpn.. They would be coming from the public IP of the nat router at site A.

There is also the tunnel network that you setup for pfsense.

Client A would get IP address 10.10.10.X for example while client B would get 10.10.10.Y

So you want client A to get 10.X, Then if B connects (while A is disconnected) you want it also get this 10.X tunnel address?

                Ah, ok, that's different.

                Yes, it's possible.
The OpenVPN servers assigns IP's somewhat like a DHCP server, although I guess its just takes the first IP out of the free OpenVPN-client pool with IP's. When two clients connect, they don't have the same IP, right ?
