Firstly wow pfsense has come along way since I last looked at it in 2005, very big thumbs up to the development team.

Currently I have 2 Sonicwall Pro 100's, which one died and I needed something to replace it so I decided to have another look at pfsense and zeroshell (linux based) and decided on pfsense for ease of use and configuration, having tried both as a web proxy/gateway. Now I have every intention of getting another 1U pizza box and replace the remaining Sonicwall, but that is another day.

Now I wish to use Radius Authentication, I have followed the excellent tutorial http://www.pfsense.org/mirror.php?section=tutorials/cp_config/radius_win2k3.htm which was great because I'm a UNIX admin 1st and a Windows admin on protest. But having followed all the steps I dont get asked for authentication when requesting internet traffic, Squid is happily logging all the request against the associated IP's so I know traffic is going that way.

What should I be checking now?

Thanks again for a fantastic product.

I would be checking the System logs on the Server 2003 box. It should tell you every access attempt. I don't recall if you have to turn logging on in the properties of the IAS server application.
