Sporatic Packetloss from WAN DHCP Gateway
Over the last two weeks id be working away and all of a sudden my internet would drop for a few mins then come back online. I checked pfsense and noticed the gateway monitor is showing packet loss then eventually offline, then eventually comes back online and I'm good to go again. https://imgur.com/a/VN3dVjy It could be a few days in between these occurrences. The modem itself does not indicate it's offline. I contacted my ISP(rogers) and my internet dropped while talking to them. They were able to confirm the packet loss while pinging my modem and wanted to send a tech out. I truly don't think it's anything inside my home. I made the appt but after 3 days of not issues, I canceled it and send I would make an appointment again if need be.
I have a VPN setup on an interface however nothing passing through it atm. Its a pretty simple setup atm pfsense wise. Im also using cloudflare dns if that matters in this case 188.8.131.52 184.108.40.206
I just wanted to see if anyone had anything I could look at and continue to assume it's on their end that they are not realizing. Service has been solid for 4 years, all wiring is the same age.

Several years ago, I had a similar problem with Rogers. My Internet and home phone would fail occasionally, but not TV. It turned out to be due to a bad cable on the condo property. However, I did a lot of testing on my own to determine where the failure was. First off, I wrote a script that pinged my ISPs gateway every minute and logged the failures. Also, since I have 2 connections down to the utility room, I moved my modem to the other one, where the problem still happened. This proved the problem was not within my unit. Rogers started testing in the utility room and eventually moved out to where the defective cable was located and repaired it.
@jknott they did say they are monitoring and I did get a text saying they are working on it. I'm not sure if that means they found something or not. Can I get more information on this script? Seems like a great idea. Does it run right on pfsense?
