      Hello,

      I can't update pfsense anymore. On the web interface dashboard, it says "Unable to check for upgrade"
      So I followed the documentation and I tried several commands from cli:

      pkg-static clean -ay ; pkg-static install -fy pkg pfSense-repo pfSense-upgrade

      But I always get the error message

      packages-beta.netgate.com: No address record

      According to the doc it could be a dns problem.
      And .. yes, it seems the packages-beta.netgate.com host does not exist anymore.

      dig packages-beta.netgate.com @8.8.8.8 | grep 'IN'
      ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NXDOMAIN, id: 45998
      ;packages-beta.netgate.com.	IN	A
      netgate.com.		599	IN	SOA	ns1.netgate.com. admin.netgate.com. 2020640295 28800 7200 1209600 600

      I've also checked with an online dns tool (https://www.ultratools.com)

      What can I do ?
      Thank you

        @pee_bear :

        dig packages-beta.netgate.com +short

        tells me that "packages-beta.netgate.com" is .... nx or unkown.

        Better : even Google doesn't know 'who' that is. That's rather significant.

        Check some very recent forum messages : I guess Netgate is redoing the entire update/upgrade system.

        So, special case : DNS issue, yes, but not on your - or my - side ;)

        No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
        Edit : and where are the logs ??

          @gertjan

          Definitely.

          @gertjan said in Cannot update anymore: is packages-beta.netgate.com host deleted ?:

          Definitely. We can't fix that. We could manually add an entry host = ip if we'd know the corresponding ip.

          It's strange to make a so big change (or mistake?) for a company which the purpose is the security !?
