So i had loads of issue doing an upgrade to 2.5 , so I wiped it , installed it clean, restored a backup to test but the issues were still there.

So wiped it again, reinstalled it clean and rebuilt the entire PfSense settings. But there are still some weird things happening.

The ping from a local device to the pfsense box on the same LAN is ranging from 0.189ms to over 7000ms then back down and again up all over the place.
I checked cables etc, iperf no issues there.

Only happening since moving to 2.5.0 PfSense, everything else except the software is the same.
The GUI is slow also and have the weird CPU spinning circle bug, even after disabling the state tables bit as others have suggested.

Any idea what would be causing the intermittent massive lag spikes for random periods of time.

@rummonkey69 i noticed this happens after i tell PfSense to "do something via the GUI".

I have a Quad core i3 , 8GM RAM and SSD as the hardware, so pretty sure that not the issue.

What would cause the GUI to have such massive lag randomly after giving a command to procesS?
