      Hello,

I'm facing a number of issues after updating to 2.5.0

      1. My WAN keeps bouncing (suddenly no internet suddenly we have internet) But the gateway wedget shows "Online".
      2. Gateways shoing this error "sendto error: 50".
      3. CPU usage reaches 100% by the user. I used the command (top -s -h) it shows the "unbound" user consuming 98% and sometimes "root" through Suricata.
      4. More than 14600 attacks of this kind >> (Attack from "x.x.x.x" on service SSH with danger 10).

      What is happening?

@alanesi I think a found the issue for the intrernet its the DNS resolver but I don't know whats the problem it shows this error (filterdns 59003 failed to resolve host wbvsiet.com will retry later again)

But when I set the DNS (8.8.8.8) manually on the laptop it works fine.

@alanesi Also disabling and enabling DNS resolver works fins but only for some time.

You may try to update unbound to the latest version:

@pete35 That was a disaster, my friend. The result of the upgrade was successful but a fatal error shows after that.
Anyway, thank you for your help. The issue was solved by reinstalling Pfsense and restoring the backup.

You never know what happens on Pfsense ... Would be interesting what the cause of the fatal error was. The upgrade of unbound is very unlikely to cause such problem.
