First of all thank you pfSense team for the new release.

I have already tested the upgrade on Odyssey x86 (Spare firewall box) and it went very well with the upgrade without any issue. Also I have installed OpenVPN server and configured the remote client on my phone and laptop. Struggled a bit due to my inexperience setting up VPNs.

This week I have upgraded my main pfSense firewall running on Esxi 6.7 VM to 2.5 without any issue. There was a bit of glitch with the dashboard display but that went away when I restarted the firewall.
I also have setup OpenVPN server and configured my laptop and mobile phone as remote clients. All went very well (Spent couple of days testing various configurations). It was very time consuming but well worth it.

After the upgrade I have notices the following improvements

      • pfSense loading fast
      • Web interface responding quicker than before
      • Memory usage reduced from 60% to 20% 8GB (I don't understand this ???)

Thank you pfSense/Netgate team for your excellent work

      Ram
