      I've been having a couple of issues with the few month old SG3100. The usability issues were resolved by a recent upgrade to 21.02-RELEASE-p1. I've done a fresh install and all settings are at default, except disabling IPv6 on WAN, LAN, and disabling DHCP Server.

      1. Most annoying issue. Seems like when my ISP decides to change my public IP, it can take a while for the 3100 to pick up on it. Clicking on Release WAN in Status -> Interfaces only works sometimes. Rebooting also doesn't seem to always work. Never seen such an issue with the multitude of home routers I've used in the past.

      2. Speeds through the 3100. Using an Eero or Verizon supplied router, speed tests ( wired ) generally result in 900 up/down. It fluctuates, but usually within 100 or so. Using the SG3100, downloads are comparable, generally a tad slower, but the uploads seem to top out at 500ish. Before the recent upgrade fiasco, I had pfBlockerNG, and encrypted DNS, so I chalked it up to those. But now I'm basically at defaults except disabling ipv6 ( I did the test before disabling ipv6 and the results are the same ).
        Edit: Wired speed test to speakeasy.net, not using an app, result in 800/800, which is much better. Perhaps the speed test apps use UPnP or something? Haven't figured that out.

      I have most LAN ports occupied. I'm going to test plugging everything into a small gig switch, and only using a single LAN port.
      Edit: Didn't make a difference, which is what I expected since this has a built in switch.

      Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

        What is your WAN IPv4 type? DHCP?

        What is it connected to? does it see the WAN go down if there is a change in the IP?

          Yes, connection type is DHCP. It is plugged in directly to the ONT via ethernet cable. This is Verizon FiOS.

            Forgot to answer the second part of the question. Yes, WAN just goes down.

              @metacyclic Any VLANs involved?

                @lnguyen not at the moment. I'd like to set a single vlan for xboxes, but haven't gone down that path yet.

                  @metacyclic The reason I asked you is I see reduced bitrate on 802.1Q subinterfaces for tagged VLANS.

                    @lnguyen I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

                    Should the wlan issue happen again, are there any specific logs I should be looking at?

                      @metacyclic No logs, my observations were not being able to sustain 940/940Mbps using iperf3 or speedtest when traffic source is from a tagged VLAN.
